As is correctly stated, the Lindbergh couple, following the kidnapping of their young son (the crime of the century) relocated to the UK for a few years to escape the media onslaught back in their home. During their stay in Britain there was opportunity to sign a few UK copies such is in this example.

This book tells the story how the couple crosses the Atlantic by plane from Africa to South America in 1933. Anne Morrow wrote the book and Charles wrote the foreword and provided the maps. The book won the National Book Award for Nonfiction in The US and was a bestseller back in those days. Charles Lindbergh was the first man to cross the Atlantic in a plane from New York to Paris in 1927. The flight took 33 1/2 hours in the Spirit of St Louis.
