Dimensions: 5.10 inches wide x 8 inches tall. Some minor scuffing to the bottom of the dust jacket and some very minor wear to the page edges.

Small signature and date to front endpaper. Clean, bright boards, binding is firm and interior pages are clean and crisp. Price on dust jacket is unclipped. Book comes in a protective mylar cover for long term preservation.

The Edible Woman is Margaret Atwood's first novel and is considered to be the first book to openly cover the issues of anorexia. It portrays a woman who attributes sex with food and develops a form of metaphorical cannibalism. This first edition is extremely uncommon and includes a signed inscription by Ms. Atwood "To Greg Gatenby best wishes Margaret Atwood" on the title page.

Greg Gatenby is a notable author, book collector, and Art Director of The Harbourfront Centre in Toronto. In addition, the book is signed on the front endpaper by one of Canada's leading contemporary artists Charles Pachter, who designed the dust jacket for this book.
