The first book in the Shannara fantasy series. I spent four decades collecting modern first editions while living in four different countries as part of my career in the US Navy and between 1975 and the 1980s I attended a LOT of conventions and would schlep a lot of books and nice fountain pens around to get them signed...

I would always give the fountain pen away as a present. They often used the fountain pen itself to sign the books too and I often also got a nice signed letter thanking me for the pen! I also had some books never return - such as first edition of Carrie by Stephen King!

This is a really good book, but please see images... Please note the embossed library stamp of well-known American artist F. I've added lots photos of the book so that you can see everything.
