Front wrap with crab image bound in at front, text block slightly trimmed, and Douglas' ownership stamp to front paste down. Toning to spine and hairline cracks to outer joints. A taboo-breaking predecessor to Miller, Norman Douglas is most often remembered for his novel, South Wind , as well as for his scandalous limericks, which Obelisk reprinted. The first appearance of Miller's legendary novel, exceptionally scarce signed in the year of publication at the Villa Seurat.
