Quoted as being' one of the first successful Broadway musicals of the 20th century', Florodora ran for more than 550 shows in NY. This was the first time a British musical had performed so well in the States and the show went on to tour worldwide. Leslie Stuart also saw success with other musicals, including The Silver Slipper, The School Girl, The Belle of Mayfair and Havana And this was almost certainly Stuart's own copy of his best-known musical.
