This book weighs 0.5 KG when packed. A signed first edition of this collection of poems from Dorothy Wellesley, Duchess of Wellington, a prominent English author, poet, literary editor and socialite. In the scarce publisher's original dust wrapper. Signed by the author to the front free endpaper.

A lovely volume of poems from a personal friend of W. Yeats, who regarded her as one of the greatest writers of the twentieth century, writing:'Within two minutes of our first meeting at my house he said:'You must sacrifice everything and everyone to your poetry''. In the publisher's original quarter cloth binding with paper covered boards, and unclipped dust wrapper.

Signed to front free endpaper. Dust wrapper back strip age toned, with a small number of closed tears to head and tail of rear wrap. Pages generally clean and bright, with scattered areas of light spotting. Overall Condition: Near Fine Near Fine. Fine - Very well preserved copy showing very little wear.

Only one or two minor faults, really a very attractive copy. Quite a wide term meaning no major faults but probably several smaller ones. Often expected given the age of the book, but still a respectable copy.
