Written by the David Newell, this work is a collection of verses on various American wild animals for children. David Newell was an American journalist, novelist and children's writer perhaps most famous for his books regarding early twentieth-century rural life in West Central Florida. In the publisher's original pebbled cloth binding with gilt detailing. Externally, very smart and bright. One small tear to cloth on front joint. Minor bumping to head of spine.Pictorial end papers in lovely condition. Pages are generally bright and clean with the odd spot. Closed tear, approximately 2 inches, to page 21.
