The first edition consisted of one hundred and ninety copies signed by the author, this copy is number 106, on Borzoi rag paper.
Uncommon in original slipcase with spine label numbered in ink. Elinor Morton Wylie (1885 - 1928) was an American poet and novelist popular in the 1920s and 1930s.
Previous owner's bookplate to front pastedown and spare spine label tipped-in to rear. In quarter cloth with marbled paper covered boards and in original slipcase. Externally, generally smart but with slight fading to spine and wear to extremities, slight loss to spine label.
Slipase has wear, top edge lifting and marks. Some pages unopened, others have been opened. Overall Condition: Very Good Good Only.Fine - Very well preserved copy showing very little wear. Only one or two minor faults, really a very attractive copy. Quite a wide term meaning no major faults but probably several smaller ones. Often expected given the age of the book, but still a respectable copy. Some more serious faults as will.
