The scarce, signed, Limited Edition first edition of this short story from English working-class novelist John Hampson, in the publisher's original price unclipped dust wrapper. Of 280 signed and numbered copies, this is number 231, signed by Hampson to the limitation page. A lovely short work from the writer best known for his 1931 novel'Saturday Night at the Greyhound', which proved to be an unexpected success for the Hogarth Press.

In the publisher's original cloth binding, with price unclipped dust wrapper. Dust wrapper lightly age toned due to paper type, most concentrated to back strip. Small loss to back strip head.

Closed tear to fold of front flyleaf. Overall Condition: Very Good Indeed Very Good Indeed. Fine - Very well preserved copy showing very little wear. Only one or two minor faults, really a very attractive copy. Quite a wide term meaning no major faults but probably several smaller ones.

Often expected given the age of the book, but still a respectable copy. Some more serious faults as will.
