First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, Signed. This book weighs 0.75 KG when packed. A signed first edition, first impression of this charming study of Scotland by Scottish journalist and writer A. A presentation copy, inscribed to the author's aunt and uncle, with the inscription'To Dollie and Willie from Archie, Sept 1937' to the front free endpaper.

Illustrated with a frontispiece portrait and thirty further photographic images. A personal discussion of Scotland, with chapters dedicated to Iona, Glencoe, Loch Coruisk on Skye, and many other locations. With four pages of advertisements to the rear. In the publisher's original cloth binding.

Bumping to spine head and tail, with a touch of discolouration to back strip. Minor mark to head of front board.

Spotting to fore edge of text block. Pages bright, with instances of spotting to page perimeters. Fine - Very well preserved copy showing very little wear. Only one or two minor faults, really a very attractive copy. Quite a wide term meaning no major faults but probably several smaller ones.

Often expected given the age of the book, but still a respectable copy. Some more serious faults as will. Be described in the condition report under'condition.

Good Only - Meaning one or more faults that could really do with repair. As with good only above but with other faults. Leaving a compromised copy even after repair.
