Hubert Nicholson's collection of numerous poems, the first edition of 1943. The poems included discuss a variety of themes, some being spring, war, and flowers; these poems highly evoke to the mood of the times in which they were written. The author's presentation copy inscribed to the title page,'For John and Brenda', dated 1943 and signed. With the unclipped dust wrapper.

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally very smart with only minor shelf wear and a minor bumping to the extremities and to the head and tail of the spine. Inscribed and signed by the author to the title page, dated 1943. The dust wrapper is unclipped and worn, with some chipping and shelf wear, and a substantial loss to the spine. The pages are bright and clean with only a minor mark to page 38. Overall Condition: Very Good Indeed Good. Fine - Very well preserved copy showing very little wear. Only one or two minor faults, really a very attractive copy. Quite a wide term meaning no major faults but probably several smaller ones. Often expected given the age of the book, but still a respectable copy.
