1960 BLACK MARIA CHARLES ADDAMS FAMILY SIGNED FIRST EDITION WithFULL PAGE DRAWING

The sixth anthology of drawings by Charles Addams, published by Simon & Schuster, 1960, stated First Printing. 96 pages of black & white cartoons plus two color illustrations to the front and back pages facing the covers. Also includes a full page, hand drawn cartoon opposite the title page, inscribed "To John" and signed Chas Addams New York 1960 with the same pen he used to draw the cartoon.

The rest of the book is in about Good to Good plus overall condition. There is general wear to the covers and the corner tips are heavily rubbed, the bottom ones worn through. The front inside cover looks like it has weakened with the many years of use and looks like it will soon begin to separate (but not yet) and the back color page has creases. There are also a few random spots to the interior, probably food or dirty fingers turning pages from the bottom.

There is no writing and the spine and binding is still straight and solid. The cover is fairly soiled and worn out. Large detailed cartoons are rarely found by this master of the macabre, and a with a "get well" sentiment to boot!

Would make a great addition to any Charles Addams, dark humor, or signed original cartoon collection. Note: Photos may show a flash reflection or color washout.
