Signed by the author to the recto to the front endpaper,'March 1961. For Saly, who is responsible for all the spelling mistakes, from the Author'. In the original unclipped dustwrapper. A fantastical novel following the disappearance of Captain Ross, with a unique background of the Arctic, stemming from the author's first hand experience.

This novel was later adapted into a Disney live action fantasy adventure film named'The Island at the Top of the World', directed by Robert Stevenson in 1974. By Donald Payne under the penname Ian Cameron. In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dustwrapper. A few light marks to the boards and spine. Minor bumping to the spine and extremities.

Some spots to the fore edge. Author's inscription to the recto to the front endpaper.

Dustwrapper is lightly edge worn with some chips and closed tears. Some marks, spots, and rubbing to the wraps. Pages are bright and clean. Overall Condition: Very Good Indeed Very Good. Fine - Very well preserved copy showing very little wear.

Only one or two minor faults, really a very attractive copy. Quite a wide term meaning no major faults but probably several smaller ones. Often expected given the age of the book, but still a respectable copy. Some more serious faults as will.
