The Twisting Lane: Some Sex Offenders. 8.5" by 5.5". A signed, first edition of this interesting study of human behaviour, by sociologist Tony Parker.

First Edition, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding, Scarce, Signed, With Dustwrapper. Overall Condition: Very Good Indeed. This book weighs 0.5 KG when packed. First edition, in the publisher's original grey cloth binding, with the original, unclipped dust wrapper.

Signed by the author to the front endpaper,'For Tony & Angela With love always. Tony Parker' dated 17th February 1969. Written by sociologist Tony Parker, whose work was dedicated to providing a voice for those who did not have one, ranging from single mothers and lighthouse keepers, to criminals. The Twisting Lane' consists of edited transcriptions of tape-recordings made over eighteen months with eight convicted sex offenders. Parker has omitted most of his questions, with focus on the answers and what they have to say.

In the publisher's original grey cloth binding, with the original, unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, smart, with light bumping to the extremities and the odd mark to boards. A touch of offsetting to endpapers.

Ink inscription to front endpaper. Dust wrapper is smart, with light edgewear and the odd tear. Slight discolouration to the extremities of the wrap. Overall Condition: Very Good Indeed Very Good Indeed. Fine - Very well preserved copy showing very little wear. Only one or two minor faults, really a very attractive copy.

Quite a wide term meaning no major faults but probably several smaller ones. Often expected given the age of the book, but still a respectable copy.
