The first edition, first impression of this work, in the publisher's original price unclipped illustrated dust wrapper.This work is signed by the author, Duncan Fraser, both to the title page and front free endpaper, where he states:'To Jim and Dorothy, with every good wish and grateful thanks for all your help. Also loosely inserted is a letter addressed to Dorothy, from'Hugh' and on the Dundee College of Education letter head, thanking her for the lending of a number of books on Montrose. The industrial history of the town of Montrose, an'East Coast Oil Town' located between Aberdeen and Dundee.
Illustrated throughout with vignette and photographic plates, the work of Kenneth M. In the publisher's original cloth binding with price unclipped illustrated dust wrapper. Externally, lovely, with minor bumping to spine tail. Small closed tear to tail of dust wrapper front wrap, with light discolouration to back strip and edge wear to head of back strip. Signed to front free endpaper.Overall Condition: Near Fine Very Good Indeed. Fine - Very well preserved copy showing very little wear.
Only one or two minor faults, really a very attractive copy. Quite a wide term meaning no major faults but probably several smaller ones. Often expected given the age of the book, but still a respectable copy.
