Signed by the author to the title page, dated the year of publication. Bookmark from Hatchards Piccadilly loosely inserted, promoting the signing event on the 6th October 1977. In the original unclipped dustwrapper. The novel contains flashbacks to the childhood in the 1940s and his time at the University of Oxford, and reflections on his ex-wife and her sister, whom he was really in love with. Written by John Fowles, a renowned English novelist who is best known for this novels'The Magnus','The French Lieutenant's Woman', and'The Collector'. In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Light spots to the fore edge.

Dustwrapper with some light spots and a little edgewear. Spine of the dustwrapper is lightly sunned. Pages are bright and clean. Overall Condition: Fine Near Fine.

Fine - Very well preserved copy showing very little wear. Only one or two minor faults, really a very attractive copy.
