A charming children's pop-up book, following Fred and Lucy as their balloon crashes into the sea off Monster Island, where they see some astonishing creatures. Consisting of six double-paged colour plates, each with a central pop-up segment, and with further pull tabs and spinning wheels to the perimeters of pop-ups. All parts complete, and in full working order.

Assistant illustrator Atie van der Meer; paper engineers Tor Lokvig and John Strejan. With the small former owner's stamp of Megan and Michael Dawson to the front pastedown. In the publisher's original pictorial paper covered boards. Externally, excellent, but with fading to spine. Small former owner's stamp to front pastedown.

Flat signed to the first leaf. Pop-ups and moving pieces in full working order. Fine - Very well preserved copy showing very little wear. Only one or two minor faults, really a very attractive copy. Quite a wide term meaning no major faults but probably several smaller ones.

Often expected given the age of the book, but still a respectable copy. Some more serious faults as will. Be described in the condition report under'condition.
