When a shrewd and wealthy widow falls in love with her solicitor and hires a bumbling hit-man to murder his wife, events spiral out of control, and the case comes to exert a stranglehold over all of the police, lawyers, and families involved. In the original publisher's cloth binding with the original dustwrapper. Minor shelfwear to the boards. Light edgewear to the dustwrapper with light spotting to the inside of the wraps.

Pages are bright and clean with the odd spot to the pastedowns. Overall Condition: Near Fine Near Fine.
