The first edition, first impression, in the publisher's original price unclipped dust wrapper. Flat signed to the front free endpaper'To Desmond, with affection, admiration, gratitude and good memories', and dated Christmas 1994. Desmond Morris was a zoologist best known for his 1967 sociobiological work'The Naked Ape'.
Alongside achieving great acclaim as a zoologist, Morris was also known for being an ethnologist and surrealist painter, and for popular television programmes, including'Zoo Time'. With Morris's bookplate to the front pastedown. In this work, Fox demonstrates how anthropology must learn from both natural and behavioural sciences. Fox covers topics including the psychology of aggression, war, and ideology, kinship and marriage, prejudice and cognition, mythology and Marxism. In the publisher's original cloth binding, with price unclipped dust wrapper. A touch of shelf wear to spine tail, otherwise exceptionally vibrant. Dust wrapper in fine condition. Inscription to front free endpaper. Fine - Very well preserved copy showing very little wear. Only one or two minor faults, really a very attractive copy. Quite a wide term meaning no major faults but probably several smaller ones. Often expected given the age of the book, but still a respectable copy.Some more serious faults as will.
