A Close Run Thing' is the first novel in Mallinson's Matthew Hervey series, with this novel's events taking place before and during the Battle of Waterloo. Matthew Hervey was in the 6th Light Dragoons, and climbed through the ranks. Written by Allan Mallinson, an English author and retired British Army officer. He is best known for his Matthew Hervey novels, of which he has now published thirteen novels, as well as publishing various non-fiction novels about the army. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Dustwrappr with some very minimal edgewear. Pages are bright and clean. Tipped in note to the tile page. Fine - Very well preserved copy showing very little wear.

Only one or two minor faults, really a very attractive copy. Quite a wide term meaning no major faults but probably several smaller ones. Often expected given the age of the book, but still a respectable copy.
