Girl with a Pearl Earring. A signed first edition of Tracy Chevailer's popular novel, a fictional account of the context in which Vermeer's'Girl with a Pearl Earring' was produced. First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, Signed, With Dustwrapper. This book weighs 0.5 KG when packed.

The first edition, first impression, in the publisher's original price unclipped second state dust wrapper, with'Earring' correctly spelled to the rear wrap. Flat signed by Chevalier to the title page.

Chevalier's historical novel is set in seventeenth century Delft, Holland, following the painter Johannes Vermeer and his new maid, Griet. In the publisher's original cloth binding, with price unclipped dust wrapper. Dust wrapper lightly sunned to back strip, otherwise excellent.

Pages clean and bright, though lightly age toned to perimeters, as is common with this work. Overall Condition: Fine Near Fine. Fine - Very well preserved copy showing very little wear. Only one or two minor faults, really a very attractive copy.

Quite a wide term meaning no major faults but probably several smaller ones. Often expected given the age of the book, but still a respectable copy.
