Featuring Colonel Race (his last appearance) to solve the mysterious deaths of a married couple exactly one year apart. 160 pages with no bookplates, no other signatures or marks (slight foxing on the last 2 pages of text). Beautifully bound in original covers which have light signs of wear with bumps to the corners and pushes to the spine ends. No spine sunning or fade (slight sun fade and discolouration on top of front cover inline with the dust jacket - see photos). Unclipped first issue dust jacket priced at 8s 6d net. This iconic and brilliant dust jacket has excellent vibrant colour and is a beautiful rarity. As seen in the photos there are signs of shelf wear with small chips and creases and the markings of where a paper clip appears to have once been (this and the lack of spine fading helps unify the history of the book and dust jacket together).However it is lovely and now comes in a new, clear, removable Mylar dust jacket protector. Featuring Miss Marple as the detective and one of several books named after a nursery rhyme. 191 pages with no bookplates, no other signatures or marks. No spine sunning or fade. As occurs on the Collins books from this era there is a slight tanning on the front and back end papers in line with where the dust jacket sits/ ends (see photos). Unclipped first issue dust jacket priced at 10s 6d net.The dust jacket has excellent vibrant colour. As seen in the photos there are 2 small areas of loss on the top of the spine and to the bottom left corner of the front cover. There is some soiling on rear cover and some tape repairs to the rear of the dust jacket.
Now comes in a new, clear, removable Mylar dust jacket protector. Greenway was one of Agatha Christie's homes and is located in Devon. I will be listing a few other signed books from my collection in the coming weeks.
