Signed by the author to the title page. The first edition, first printing. Ilustrado' is the experimental first novel from Filipino writer Migel Syjuco, opening with the discovery of the body of Crispin Salvador, a controversial figure of Philippine literature. A deeply autobiographical fiction, Salvador's student (named Miguel) investigates the missing manuscript of his final book and charters his trajectory via his poetry, interviews, novels and memoirs. This work won the grand prize of the 2008 Man Asian Literary Prize even before it was published.

In the original cloth binding. With the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, lovely, with little shelf wear. Dust wrapper is also lovely. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages.

Fine - Very well preserved copy showing very little wear. Only one or two minor faults, really a very attractive copy. Quite a wide term meaning no major faults but probably several smaller ones.
