By William Faulkner, this limited First. Faulkner's second and last book of poetry, number 103 of 360 copies , of which only 350 copies were for sale. Faulkner major lifetime accomplishments, included 2 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction and a Nobel Prize in Literature. 1933 New York: Harrison Smith and Robert Haas, Bound. Original beige linen, stamped black Lettering with two pictorials mounted on cover, illustrations are from woodcuts by Lynd Ward. The pages are clean, crisp, no foxing, The Fore and bottom edges, untrimmed. /Deckle are in fine condition with no marks or noticeable wear. The Binding is tight and square. The original Tan Linen is stained in two locations on front, the stain does not bleed through to inside of book (see photos) The Black lettering & plates are in fine condition. The text and end papers clean and unmarked. Two pages have yellow staining from a folded note left long ago (Please see photo). No name plates or writing.

No slipcase or dust jacket were issued with this signed limited edition of "A Green Bough". This was Faulkner's farewell to poetry and was the schoolhouse of Faulkner's fiction; "A Green Bough" remains an accomplished collection that demonstrates a firm grasp on the craft of poetry. Twenty-nine of the 44 poems in this collection were previously unpublished and nearly all were revised prior to this publication. Most of which were written very early in Faulkner's career.
