A Study of History SIGNED Arnold Toynbee Full 10 Volume Set First Edition
10 volume set of A Study of History, signed by Arnold Toynbee on front free endpage of the first volume. The first six volumes are third impressions of the second edition, and the latter four volumes are all first editions/printings published in 1954. The final two supplementary volumes released in the 60s are not included.
Volumes 1-6 all have ownership signature on front pastedown and some light pencil markings in volume 6 but otherwise appear unmarked. Volume 1 has a small amount of splitting to the bottom of the front hinge (see photo 3) - bindings are otherwise quite firm and excellent. Books 7-10 all have ownership stamp on front pastedown, and volumes 7, 9, and 10 all have pencil underlining and margin markings.
