Signed with an inscription "To Rosemary with all best wishes [signature]". Book appears unread; slight rusty foxing to the page block edges; a previous owner's name on the ffep has been tippexed out. No other inscriptions, no lean, corners sharp. The dust jacket is near fine, and first state with the correct pricing of GBP 14.99 and is NOT faded on the spine. Now protected in removable mylar.
Sacred Hunger' by Barry Unsworth (1930 - 2012) won the Booker Prize jointly with Michael Ondaatje's'The English Patient' in 1992. It was the last time a double win was allowed, and thereafter the rules were changed. Unsworth was shortlisted for the Booker twice more.
He wrote 17 novels and is best remembered for his excellent historical fiction. This book is very scarce signed due to the rising popularity of the Booker Prize.
