On offer a SIGNED first edition and first printing of' Sacred Hunger' by Barry Unsworth published in the UK by Hamish Hamilton in 1992. The 1992 joint (Man) Booker Prize winner. Quite scarce as a signed first edition. Flat signed with no further inscriptions. No slant, no foxing, no inscriptions of any sorts.

Just natural ageing of the paper. The dust jacket is near fine, and first state with the correct pricing of GBP 14.99 and is NOT faded on the spine whatsoever.

Now protected in removable mylar. Sacred Hunger' by Barry Unsworth (1930 - 2012) won the Booker Prize jointly with Michael Ondaatje's'The English Patient' in 1992. It was the last time a double win was allowed, and thereafter the rules were changed allowing for only one'best' book. Unsworth was shortlisted for the Booker twice more. He wrote 17 novels and is best remembered for his excellent historical fiction. This book is very scarce signed due to the rising popularity of the Booker Prize.
