No dust jacket, text generally in decent order, very slight staining to the page extremities at the very bottom, spine very slightly cocked, bumping & rubbing to board corners & to the top, bottom & sides of boards - significantly heavier to the top & bottom of the spine & to the front top & bottom left hand/rear top & bottom right hand corners, slight bumping to spine edges on front & rear, small bump to bottom of the front board, both boards & spine have many marks & scratches. Ceslovas Vytautas Stankevicius (born 27 February 1937) is a Lithuanian politician. In 1990 he was among those who signed the Act of the Re-Establishment of the State of Lithuania, a declaration of independence adopted on 11th March 1990. It was signed by all the members of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Lithuania.

In March 1990, Lithuania was the first of the 15 Soviet republics to declare independence. These events led to the dissolution of the Soviet Union in December 1991.

On 13 January 1991 Russian leader Boris Yeltsin arrived in Tallinn, Estonia and, along with the leaders of the Baltic countries, he signed a joint declaration, recognizing one another's independence/sovereignty. Later, on 27 July 1991, the Russian government re-recognized Lithuania and the two countries re-established diplomatic relations on 9 October 1991.
