On offer a scarce SIGNED and true first edition AND first printing of one of the most defining novels of the past twenty years'Infinite Jest' by David Foster Wallace published by Little Brown (USA) in 1996 to wide acclaim. Condition: between very good plus and near fine. No foxing; no remainder mark to the page block edges as often seen. No lean to the book.
The boards are clean and sharp with a little shelf wear including slightly rubbed corners. The dust jacket is first state with Vollmann spelled incorrectly as Vollman, it has some minor creases to the edges, but no tears. At the bottom reverse side of the jacket there is a very small area of blue discolouration where the books spine touches the jacket (bleeding).
However, there is no sign of moisture or water damage to the book. When compiling a list of the most significant novels of the 20th century'Infinite Jest' will be on it.
It is a unique literary masterpiece and boundary pushing what fiction can achieve.
