Starship Troopers signed by Robert A Heinlein at Apollo 11 pre-launch party. I bought this book new at Wagg's Books in downtown Pensacola not long after my father was assigned as commanding officer of the Pensacola Naval Air Station Pre-Flight School of Survival. For the circumstances of how the book came to be autographed at the Apollo 11 Pre-launch party at Joe Green's house, see. I had a lung 3/4's full of fluid and it had to be drained by sticking a sharp catheter through the skin and flesh and between the ribs with a local anesthetic, twice. The photo of the the Rolling Dome Observatory is not included but is meant to show that the Escambia Amateur Astronomers Association which published THE METEOR is a reputable organization.I started it just before turning 13 years old. PS: they named the observatory the Rolling Dome Observatory rather than the Mobile Observatory because the next city to the west is Mobile, Alabama, where Mardi Gras was first celebrated in the future USA---and has been celebrated continuously ever since. The photo of the Apollo 11 VIP Press badge is included but the original badge has been donated to the Lowell Observatory Museum. More on the pre-lauch parties.
