The first dedication reads: To Herb - Who digs those hip... No, I have no idea what that means, the kinky boots on the cover maybe. The second signature is a more traditional one on the title page. So, this unclipped dust wrapper has a period design by Milton Glaser and crease marks along the spine - see photos. The 237 pages of the book itself are tightly bound with no marks, foxing, tears or folds.

The plot, as the cover says, is'a love novel about people in Paris who used to be Americans.
