Published by Victor Gollancz, London; 1996. Beautiful example of this first edition, the twentieth from the Discworld series. Bound in it's original black cloth boards with gilt title to the spine. The binding is square and tight with just a touch of bumping to the spine ends, it is in very smart and collectible condition. Inside, the pages are clean and bright and free from blemishes or wear, with just a touch of toning to the pages, the book appears barely read.
The book is signed by the author to the title page. The dust jacket is in equally smart condition, unclipped and as bright as the day it was published, illustrated by Josh Kirby. There is just a little shelf wear to the edges, with a touch of chipping to the tope rear edge, but it is otherwise in free from marks or damage and in excellent condition.
In all, this is a particularly lovely example of this first edition, appearing barely read and in near perfect condition and signed by the author on the title page. It is the twentieth instalment from Pratchett's phenomenally successful series, and the third in the Gods trilogy. It has become one of the rarer titles in this phenomenally successful series. It is set the night before Hogswatch, and the Hogfather is missing. Death attempts to step into his shoes, whilst his granddaughter, Susan, must race to find the Hogfather before morning or the sun won't rise.
This beautiful signed first would be the perfect addition to any book collection or an excellent gift for any lover of the Discworld series.
