Published by: Oxford University Press. Written on the first blank endpage. Jon Howie Stallworthy, FBA, FRSL (18 January 1935 19 November 2014) was a British literary critic and poet. He was Professor of English at the University of Oxford. The Astronomy of Love, was his very first published work. The Dustjacket is the original of the book. Browned mainly to lighter areas. Chips to top and bottom of spine and corners. Scuffed on the folds, but still present in its original state. Now housed in a plastic archival sleeve. Retains price to inner front prelim. Mottled blue/gold gilt cloth boards with gilt/gold lettering to the spine. Pages throughout are browned with occasional fox spots, but other than this they are clean and all tightly bound to the page block.
