First Canadian edition, preceding the first American edition. Mint condition, and signed by Leonard Cohen while at the Columbia Records office in New York City - this was given to me as a gift from a record executive at Sony Music while I was living in NYC. Signed IN PENCIL by the man himself (I thought this was amazing - so fragile to sign in pencil).

Leonard Cohen's first book in nearly 15 years was written on Mt. Baldy, Los Angeles, Montreal and Mumbai. Contains drawings and decorations by the author. Book of Longing has exceptional range. It is clear yet steamy, cosmic yet private, both playful and profound.

Excuse me for not dying. Leonard Cohen said, at 80 years of age.
