First Edition, First Printing Signed by Oscar of the Waldorf (Oscar Tschirky). Aventine Press: New York, 1931. First Edition, as stated at rear of pages. Signed by Oscar Tschirky, the matre d'hotel of the Waldorf-Astoria, inscribed to a previous owner. Tschirky was commonly known as "Oscar of the Waldorf".

And is credited with creating the Waldorf Salad. Gutter at title page showing slight separation. Silver cloth shows light scuffing and light wear with small areas of loss to the silver finish. Boards show edge wear, with light fraying, and a few dings. Laid in is a typed cocktail recipe card for the "Union League Appetizer". A lovely association copy, signed by Oscar of the Waldorf.
