A limited edition of 360 copies (this one is #341) signed by the incomparable Rex Whistler whose charming illustrations make this book an exciting work of art. The fact that there are dozens of prose contributions to THE NEW FORGET-ME-NOT by virtually all of the leading writers of the day surely is testament to Whistler's (well-connected) popularity. A Fine uncut copy in half-vellum and decorated boards, the blue vellum spine and corners have faded to pale whitish-blue (as in most copies we've examined, an organic flaw in the book's production as this book otherwise is nearly as new). What is remarkable about this particular copy is that a previous owner, likely the initial owner, created a home-made protective cover for the book (not included) so that THE ORIGINAL DUST JACKET IS IN FINE IMPECCABLE CONDITIO N with only the most minor of faults, and the tiniest bit of soil to the back panel. The eye appeal is rather spectacular. Complete with rare errata slip, often missing.
