Signed by the photographer on the title page. Other than the signature there are no other markings to the interior. All pages are clean and there are no rips, tears, bends, creases, foxing or waviness.

The covers have some minor edgewear and there is a crease to the lower right corner of the front cover. The spine is not creased and the binding is tight. The rear cover has a tiny crease at the bottom left and, lastly, there is a grouping of tiny scratches or dots that run across the bottom. If you grew up in the 1970's, loved the movie "Dazed and Confused" or love the photographs of Ed Templeton or Deanna Templeton then you will probably love this book. If you love the photobooks of Larry Clark or Bill Owens or Bill Henson or Tom Wood's "Looking for Love" then you will love this book.

This is not simply a collection of photos by one person but with the high school poetry beside the photos it gives you a fulfilling experience that many great photobooks do not. It's an intimate narrative of a fragile time, the coming of age story. All of the emotions of youth are caught here: young love, young sadness, melancholy, pretension, puffery, strutting, cattiness, innocence, joyfulness; this book captures it as few others ever have. It is bittersweet at times and hilarious at others.

The photographer taught photography to high school students on Long Island from 1972 to 1999 and many of these were taken in the summer at Jobes Beach. These kids were rocking out to Foghat, BTO, Lynyrd Skynyrd, disco, Peter Frampton, Led Zeppelin, the Stones. If you were sensitive you sat in your room and listened to Feorge Harrison, Joni Mitchell and Carole King. First loves, first cigarettes, hanging out pre-college and pre working stiff!
