Filmed in 1966 by Francois Truffaut. Boldly signed by Ray Bradbury in blue felt tip marker on a loosely laid in bookplate. The book is in bright, crisp, near fine condition with clean cloth still retaining its original sheen and bright unfaded yellow titles to front and spine.
The book has sharp corners, with one tip bump, and no edgewear. The binding is tight and square, and still snaps shut when opened. The end papers are clean with no bookstore stamps, no stains and no inscriptions. Stunning clean, bright book appearing as unread.
The original first edition dust jacket has benefited from slight restoration to the spine tips by an expert paper conservator and as such presents in near fine condition. The jacket is bright and still retains the strong vibrant colors with the typical spine fading of the red tones to the title as typically found with this off-white jacket (the numbers 451 on the spine typically fade out).
Otherwise the jacket is in great condition with no rips, no chips, no stains and no foxing. Please see the many detailed images.
The dust jacket is now protected in a new clear archival cover. Rare and desirable in this condition. A very handsome clean crisp copy of this scarce, important Bradbury title. Presents beautifully on the shelf, in addition to making a wonderful investment. Would make a perfect gift for a Bradbury collector. This book is part of a collection.
