The book has sharp corners with one very tiny tip bump, and no edgewear. The binding is tight and square.
The end papers are clean with no bookplates, no owner names, no bookstore stamps, and no inscriptions. Stunning clean, bright book appearing as unread. Boldly signed in black felt tip by Ray Bradbury Ray Bradbury directly onto the title page, withOUT an inscription!
The original first edition dust jacket is in beautiful condition with some light overall toning, and some of the common spine fading of the red tones as typically found with this off-white jacket (the numbers 451 on the spine typically fade out), however this dust jacket still maintains legible red numbers of 451, and is very uncommon as such. Otherwise the jacket is in great condition having benefited from some slight restoration to the spine tips by an expert paper conservator. The dust jacket has no rips, no chips, no edgewear, no stains and no foxing.A very handsome copy of this title which is quite scarce signed. One of the most important iconic Bradbury titles with both a great unclipped dust jacket with the scarce 451 on the spine still vibrant with just only slight fading.
