Illustrated Edition of "The Old Man and The Sea" by Ernest Hemingway. (including orginal Dustjacket in good condition). This is a "1st Illustrated Edition", containing drawings throughout the book. It was published by the The Reprint Society and Jonathan Cape Limited early in 1953. As such, the 1st illustrated edition of this iconic novella was published 6 months after the original True 1.

Of "The Old Man and the Sea" was released in September 1952 and less than a year prior earning Ernest. Hemingway the Nobel Prize in Literature. Ernest Hemingway's signature can be seen on the title page in black ink with an short inscription. Book cover contains the publisher's blue cloth with stylized silver fish on front board indicating that it is an orginal 1st illustrated edition, 1st print. The book has its orginal Dustjacket in very good condition.

Condition of Book: Good with the binding, cover and spine all in good condition aside from a little damage visible in the top corner of the spine. Condition of Pages: Very Good with minor yellowing but very little given the age of the book. There is a small tear at the bottom of one the pages (refer to the photos) the remaining pages contain no damage, markings or writing.

Condition of Dust Jacket: Original Dustjacket in Good condition.
