Binding is tight but the book is slightly cocked. William Eggleston's Guide is considered to be one of the most influential photobooks of the twentieth century and is cited in Auer's'802 Photo Books', Martin Parr and Gerry Badger's'The Photobook: A History', and Andrew Roth's'Book of 101 Books'.
In stature it can be compared to Walker Evans''American Photographs', Robert Frank's'Americans' or William Klein's'New York'. Included with the book is a one sheet (folded twice) catalog from MOMA of their photobooks available for sale with descriptions and prices published circa 1979.
I took extra photos of the mounted cover photo in glare or raking light to allow closer examination of the condition. I hope these suffice but let me know if you'd like more. The item "SIGNED William Eggleston's Guide 1976 First Edition Parr Badger Photobook" is in sale since Tuesday, August 8, 2017.
