This is a signed first edition in good condition. It was published by Michael Joseph Ltd in 1990. This story is based on the author's own family experiences. It tells the story of a young couple who go to India with the army.

When the father dies and the mother becomes ill the children are taken to an orphanage and have adventures running away to a magic house. This is a 1st Edition / 1st Printing. Book - Good - rubbing/bumping/wear to the corners and edges, a spine lean, bumping/creasing to several page corners, some marking and foxing/discolouration to the page edges and a couple of pages, a v. Slight wave to the page block, soft even tanning to the pages and there is a v.
