First UK edition, first impression (Hodder and Stoughton, 1983). Signed by the author to the title page. Publisher's original black cloth with lettering to the spine in gilt. A little faint marking to boards and the slightest hint of a spine slant, near fine otherwise and free from any previous owner names or inscriptions. The original and unclipped dust jacket has some moderate wear, mainly to top edge.
Spine panel nice and unfaded. A very good copy indeed.
