The Eye Of The World-Robert Jordan-SIGNED-First/1st SC Edition/2nd Printing-RARE

Up for sale is a Very Rare, SIGNED/INSCRIBED, First Softcover/Trade Paperback Edition/Second Printing of The Eye Of The World by Robert Jordan. The FIRST Book the Series!

SIGNED Copies of this Title are Scarce and Becoming Exceedingly Hard to Find! Please remember this is the "large" softcover edition, NOT the more common and less valuable small paperback edition. Published by TOR: New York, 1990. Boldly SIGNED and INSCRIBED on the title page by the celebrated author!

SIGNED/INSCRIBED by the great Robert Jordan! A First American Softcover/Trade Paperback Edition/Second Printing. Please remember this is NOT the First Softcover/Trade Paperback Edition/First Printing of this title! This is a Second Printing with NO First Edition statement and the number line ends with "2". Please also remember this is NOT the Hardcover Edition of this title!

Once again, this is NOT the First Printing of this title! This is the Second Printing of the First Softcover/Trade Paperback Edition.

This rare treasure has some VERY clearly visible wear, but is still in Highly Desirable, Highly Collectible condition! The book appears gently read and other than some partially erased pencil marks on the dedication page, has no internal writing, no remainder marks, no missing pages and is NOT Ex-Libris. The binding is still holding tight and all the pages are present and fully attached! The beautiful color illustration, (inside front cover and first page), is present and fully attached! Some general/shelf wear along with.. Creases/scuffing/scratches/wear to the spine, the front cover and the rear cover. The wear is particularly noticeable on the spine and near/along the edges! The wear is very clearly visible and should be carefully examined/considered. Marks/wear to the edge/fore pages. Varying in size and severity but, thankfully, not affecting the text! The wear is, however, quite extensive on certain pages. Please note the marks that are present on some of the pages, beginning on page 657 and present on all of the following pages.

The wear, especially the marks previously mentioned, is very clearly visible and should be carefully examined/considered. As mentioned before, there is some partially erased pencil marks. The marks are located on the dedication page and have been closely photographed for your consideration.

We tend to grade the condition of our books rather harshly and took into consideration any and all wear when determining the value of this rare book. We purposely and closely photographed what we consider to be the most obvious and egregious wear. We are only allowed to post twelve photographs but if you would like to see more pictures, no problem! Simply message us with a general idea of what you're looking for and we'll do our best to quickly accommodate you! Once again, when considering its' scarcity and desirability, this copy is still in Highly Collectible condition, but we want to reiterate that the wear is VERY clearly visible! Numerous photographs from various angles were taken for your consideration/inspection. Please closely and carefully view ALL the pictures for further clarification! Regarding the signature, we feel compelled to provide you with a bit of information. My name is not Scooter. I do not know anyone named Scooter.

Our intention was to keep it for our personal collection, (I happen to big fan of Robert Jordan). When I, rather reluctantly, decided to sell this copy, we again carefully examined the signature. As is the case with all of our "Signed" titles, we do our research and approach each and every title as "guilty until proven innocent".

In other words, we assume each signature is a forgery/fake and then begin the examination. Sadly, there are so many fakes/forgeries out there, each and every customer should approach any supposedly "Signed" copy with a healthy dose of skepticism. Such should be there case with this copy! I would also kindly suggest one considers having it authenticated by a professional. We've had nothing but lovely experiences with the good people at JSA, they are well respected professionals whose opinions we trust. If, and again I do not think this will occur, but if the signature comes back as anything less than 100% authenticate, simply send us a message. At that point, the asking price would exceed what I believe a fair value is. I'm in this business to make a living, not a killing and we always make a concerted effort to price our books fairly. I also understand how some customers simply do not trust a COA. I tend to agree with that sentiment and always remind customers that a COA can often times be more easily faked than an actual signature.

One must be cautious and mindful of exactly who signed the COA, is there a number to contact them directly, does the COA actually relate to the book being considered etc. Of course, the well known, established signature authenticators are the exception to the rule and we absolutely trust their professional opinions.

I say all this simply to be as transparent as possible with this book. The item "The Eye Of The World-Robert Jordan-SIGNED-First/1st SC Edition/2nd Printing-RARE" is in sale since Wednesday, August 18, 2021.
