Signed by Kahlil Gibran on the title page. Bound in publisher's black cloth decorated in gilt; lacking the dust jacket. Cloth scuffed, soiled and worn through at tips. Pages toned and with faint evidence of erased pencil brackets in margins, small vintage bookseller ticket from Brentano's to rear pastedown.

The first printing consisted of 2,000 copies and signed copies are extremely scarce.
