The Road Not Taken SIGNED FIRST EDITION First Printing Robert FROST 1951
The Road Not Taken: An Introduction to Robert Frost. Octavo, original full bound green cloth boards with cream stamped pictorial to front and title to spine. "TWO ROADS DIVERGED IN A WOOD, AND I TOOK THE ONE LESS TRAVELED BY, AND THAT HAS MADE ALL THE DIFFERENCE". SIGNED First Edition, First Printing of Robert Frost's The Road Not Taken, perhaps Frost's most famous poem. A splendid copy, AUTOGRAPHED by the Author on the front endpaper. Frost was the first American who could be honestly reckoned a master-poet by world standards (Robert Graves). The most highly esteemed American poet of the 20th century T. Eliot [in 1959] toasted Frost as'perhaps the most eminent, the most distinguished Anglo-American poet now living,' whose'kind of local feeling in poetry can go without universality: the relation of Dante to Florence of Robert Frost to New England (ANB). Original full bound green cloth boards with cream stamped pictorial to front and title to spine presents very well with bright, original unfaded color. A couple pen sized dots at bottom left front board and minor discoloration spot to top center of rear board with slight bump to the top edge of both. Slight wear to hinges and creasing at head and foot of spine with a light stain just below head. Internally Fine, clean, bright and unmarked but for a few scattered age spots on isolated pages.

Boldly SIGNED by the Author on the top front endpaper. Relation to Classic American (US) and English (UK) Literature. Often included amongst the most celebrated poets, such as.
