Bound in contemporary or near-contemporary patterned stamped paper-covered boards with gilt stamped leather title label to spine, housed in red custom chemise slipcase. Front wrap with crab image bound in at front, text block slightly trimmed, and Douglas' ownership stamp to front paste down. Toning to spine and hairline cracks to outer joints. A taboo-breaking predecessor to Miller, Norman Douglas is most often remembered for his novel, South Wind , as well as for his scandalous limericks, which Obelisk reprinted.
