Ringbound softcover in stiff boards without dustjacket as issued. 64 pages, 280 x 280mm First edition, first printing. A very near fine book with slight rubbing to rear cover, bought new by myself direct from gallery.

Signed, located and dated "London 2017" in silver marker by William Klein at London photo festival event. With event flyer and and an original photo of the artist at the event taken by myself, as provenance of signature authenticity. Imprint is an irregularly published periodical, with Issue #2 dedicated to Klein's abstract work, both his photos and paintings.

William Klein: Black and Light, coincided with a 2015 gallery exhibition featuring these seminal early works created in Paris in 1952. The original maquette for the book has been further developed by William Klein for it's 21st century publishing debut, along with text by David Campany. Reproduces the rich tones of the original silver gelatin prints that made up the 1952 maquette, and the spiral binding allows full viewing of each double page spread. Uncommon book, especially so signed.
