Winnie the Poo double signed limited edition Return to 100 Acre Wood. 1st Edition Winnie The Pooh - Return to The Hundred Acre Wood signed modern first edition (number 518 of 1750). This book is the authorised sequel to the classic Winnie the Pooh books. In the mid-1990s, after completing an audio adaptation of Milne's Winnie-the-Pooh stories, Benedictus wrote two Pooh short stories of his own and submitted them to the trustees of the Milne estate. The trustees replied that they were unable to publish the stories because Walt Disney owned all the rights." However, ten years later, Benedictus was contacted by the trustees, who explained that "the sequel rights had reverted to them and asked Benedictus to make changes to one of the short stories and to submit some more. This collection of stories was published as Return to the Hundred Acre Woods. This copy is signed by the author David Benedictus and is illustrated by Mark Burgess in the original Winnie the Pooh style. It is presented in a beautiful burgundy coloured slipcase with gilt lettering along the spine and a gold illustration of Pooh on the front and on the spine. It is a modern first edition with the full first edition number line - 1 3 5 7 9 10 8 6 4 2.
It is also a limited edition, with only 1750 published worldwide. Both the book and the slipcase are in excellent condition. It is EXTREMELY RARE to have this limited edition double signed by author and illustrator so DO NOT CONFUSE this with the standard limited edition that is mostly only single signed. Limited edition came with author's signature but illustrators signature was obtained at a book festival. Includes photocopy provenance of acquisition of illustrators signature at a book festival (this is photocopy of ticket to the event in my name). This item is in the category "Books, Comics & Magazines\Antiquarian & Collectable".vanstone" and is located in this country: GB.
